Liz Hastilow is the global Chief Legal Officer for CFSGAM/FSI and is based in Sydney.
In her role, Liz has direct oversight for the legal, risk and compliance (also described as Line 1 Risk Management) functions globally.
Before joining the firm in November 2017, Liz was a Co-Practice Area Leader and Partner at global law firm K&L Gates. In that role Liz advised and co-lead a global team of in excess of 150 investment management partners and lawyers advising, investment management clients across the globe on matters such as new business establishment, investment management mergers and acquisitions and joint venture arrangements; investment fund structuring and distribution, regulatory and business transformation change projects, regulator engagement, financial services law compliance and management of regulatory investigations and breaches. Before joining K&L Gates, Liz spent 18 years at Henry Davis York.
Liz was named Best Lawyers ‘Lawyer of the Year' in Investment Management for 2015 and as ‘Lawyer of the Year' in Wealth Management for 2018. She was also recognised as a leading lawyer in Investment Funds by Chambers Asia Pacific from 2012 to 2017 (Band 1) and also in Financial Services and was recognised in Best Lawyers from 2013 to 2018 as an expert for Funds Management, Investment Funds, Investment Law, Regulatory Practice and Wealth Management Practice.

Mark Steinberg is the Chief Executive Officer for Colonial First State Global Asset Management (CFSGAM) and First State Investments (FSI) and is based in Sydney.
Mark brings a strong background in acquisitions and wealth management to his role at the firm. Prior to joining the company in September 2017, Mark was Group Chief Financial Officer and Group Chief Operating Officer of Cover-More, an Australian Stock Exchange listed company, where he oversaw several acquisitions before Cover-More itself was acquired in April 2017. Mark has the advantage of a close understanding of the company, previously serving as the Chief Financial Officer, as well as roles within Colonial First State and Wealth Management Advice.
He also held numerous global roles within Vodafone, including stints as CFO of the New Zealand business, Finance Director of the Japanese business and CFO of the Australian business.
Mark is a Chartered Accountant in Australia, as well as a member of FINSIA.

Lindall West is the global Chief Human Resources Officer for CFSGAM/FSI and is based in Sydney.
In her role, Lindall is responsible for the Human Resources function globally, including development and execution of recruitment, retention, talent management and reward strategies.
Before joining the firm in January 2011, Lindall was Head of Human Resources Asia, Westpac Banking Corporation based in Singapore. In this capacity she had responsibility for all elements of human resources across Singapore, Hong Kong, China, India and Indonesia.
Lindall also held a senior Organisational Development role for Westpac Institutional Bank where she was responsible for leading work on Diversity, Talent, Leadership Development and Talent Acquisition.
Before this she held the role of Head of Human Resources for BT Investment Management where she led the people integration of three funds management businesses. In 2000, Lindall took on the role of Head of Human Resources and Training for Rothschild Australia Asset Management.
Lindall was formerly Vice-Chairperson of Financial Institutions Remuneration Group, a Committee Member of Women in Finance and Vice President, YWCA NSW.

Heather Brilliant, CFA, is the Managing Director, Americas for First State Investments and global Acting Chief Operating Officer at CFSGAM/FSI and is based in New York
Heather is responsible for managing the business in the Americas and further expanding FSI's market presence across the region. As Acting COO, she provides strategic leadership and oversight to the firm’s global operations, technology, and project management teams.
Heather has worked in the industry for over 20 years. Prior to joining the firm in 2017, she spent 14 years as the Chief Executive Officer of Morningstar Australasia. In this role, Heather devised and drove various initiatives based on functional and local market priorities, including the development and implementation of a 10-year strategy to accelerate business growth. Preceding this, she led the equity and corporate credit research teams at Morningstar, consisting of more than 100 analysts based in offices around the world.
Previously, Heather spent several years as an equity research analyst for Coghill Capital Management and Driehaus Capital Management. She has covered a variety of sectors, including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, business services, and retail. She started her finance career at Bank of America as a corporate finance analyst covering the auto industry.
Heather holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Northwestern University and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. She also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and is chairman of the CFA Institute Board of Governors and past chair of the CFA Society of Chicago.

Harry Moore is the Head of Business Development Australia and New Zealand for Colonial First State Global Asset Management and is based in Melbourne.
Harry has responsibility for business development and client service for Australia, New Zealand and Japan. In Australia and New Zealand, he works on a national basis with large industry government and corporate superannuation funds as well as insurers, universities and charities. He is responsible for sales and client servicing whilst ensuring that CFSGAM’s investment capabilities and profile remain visible in the institutional market.
Before joining the firm in June 2010, Harry worked at Russell Investments for five years as a consultant in the Institutions and Governments team providing tailored strategic investment advice and implementation to domestic and pan-Asian clients. Harry has also worked as a client advisor and analyst at UBS Wealth Management Australia and Johnson Taylor Potter.

Michael Stapleton is a Managing Partner, First State Stewart Asia (FSSA) and Acting Managing Director, Asia for FSI/CFSGAM and is based in Hong Kong. First State Stewart Asia is part of the FSI/CFSGAM Group.
Michael has more than 21 years of experience in the investments industry. He joined the First State Stewart Asia team in July 2015 after being part of the FSI global business for more than 19 years. Michael is responsible for the business management of the FSSA team.
After joining the firm in October 1998, Michael worked in the institutional business in Australia before moving to the UK to become Head of Institutional Business Development. He subsequently moved to Hong Kong in June 2009 and has been based in Asia since then.
He is also Acting Managing Director, Asia Pacific, overseeing business development and the day-to-day functional operations for FSI/CFSGAM in the region.
Before joining the firm, Michael commenced his career at JP Morgan Investments in Australia as a member of the Institutional Business Team.

Chris Turpin is the Managing Director for First State Investments in EMEA and is based in London.
In his role, Chris is responsible for all aspects of the business in the United Kingdom, Europe and the Middle East from local functional oversight to business development and client management.
Chris also leads CFSGAM/FSI's global Product Management and Development, Marketing and Responsible Investment strategies and their teams.
Before joining the firm in 2003, Chris worked as a Director of Product at Northern Trust Asset Management. Before this he trained and worked in the Investment Management Group at PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in London.

Perry is the Global Head of Unlisted Infrastructure for CFSGAM/FSI and is based in Melbourne.
In his role, Perry is responsible for oversight and development of the Unlisted Infrastructure Investments business globally.
Before joining the firm in March 2007, Perry was Director of Infrastructure Investments for Super Investment Management Pty Limited; a wholly owned funds management company of the Retail Employees Superannuation Trust (REST). Perry was responsible for establishing a direct infrastructure portfolio and for managing REST’s investment in a number of entities. Perry has more than 25 years’ of infrastructure and financial experience including nine years at the National Australia Bank where he was a director in the Project and Structured Finance Group. For six years Perry was a director and Investment Committee Member of National Australia Bank Superannuation.
Perry was previously a Director of National Australia Bank Superannuation Pty Ltd (the trustee of the National Australia Bank Group Superannuation Fund, 1995–2000), Brisbane Airport Corporation (2008 to 2014, 2015–16), and a director of several CFSGAM entities.

David Dixon is the global Chief Investment Officer, Equities for CFSGAM/FSI and is based in Sydney.
In his role, David is responsible for managing the global Equities investment management teams. The total investment management team comprises of over 90 staff located throughout Asia, Australia and Europe.
Before joining the firm in May 2003 David was the Chief Investment Officer of IAG Asset Management where he had overall responsibility for approximately A$10 billion of assets under management. Before that David served as IAG’s Head of Equities for nearly six years. Prior he spent 18 years with Westpac Banking Corporation with the final ten years with Westpac Investment Management in a variety of roles including Equity Analyst, Portfolio Manager and Head of Corporate Research.
David has been a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors since 2004 and has also been a member of the Financial Services Council’s Investment Board since 2003.

Paul Griffiths is the global Chief Investment Officer, Fixed Income and Multi-Asset Solutions for FSI/CFSGAM and is based in London.
Paul joined the firm in July 2013 and is responsible for the oversight and global development of the Fixed Income and Multi-Asset Solutions businesses.
Before joining the firm, Paul had 24 years’ investment and management experience with firms including Aberdeen, Credit Suisse, AXA and Investec. During his career Paul has been a highly rated portfolio manager, winning the Fixed Income Fund Manager of the Year award on several occasions. He holds advisory board positions with the Global Fixed Income Institute, the Investment Management Review and the University of York.
A passionate believer in developing investment talent, Paul is the founder investor of the United Kingdom’s first student-run investment portfolio based at the University of York.

Jonathan Asante is Joint Managing Partner of Stewart Investors. Stewart Investors is part of the CFSGAM/FSI Group.
Jonathan joined the firm in 2004. His responsibilities include management of worldwide portfolios and broader global emerging market mandates, as well as mentoring the team.
Jonathan is an Associate Member of the UK Society of Investment Professionals and a graduate of the London School of Economics with a BSc and MSc in Economics.

David is a joint Managing Partner, Stewart Investors and is based in Sydney. Stewart Investors is part of the CFSGAM/FSI Group.
He is a portfolio manager and his day job involves meeting the senior management teams of listed Asian, emerging markets and global companies, assessing their long-term sustainability positioning and deciding whether they are of sufficient quality to be entrusted with clients’ capital.
David is still in his first job, having joined over twenty years ago in the midst of the Asian Financial Crisis.

Martin Lau is a Managing Partner, First State Stewart Asia (FSSA) and is based in Hong Kong. First State Stewart Asia is part of the FSI/CFSGAM Group.
Martin has more than 20 years of investment experience and has been with the team for almost 16 years, starting with the firm as Director, Greater China Equities in 2002. Martin is the lead portfolio manager for a number of funds covering Greater China and the Asia Pacific region. He is also responsible for supervising and directly managing FSSA’s team of research analysts and portfolio managers.
Before joining the firm Martin was a fund manager at Invesco Asia, where he was the country specialist for Hong Kong, China and Taiwan.
