Matthew Reynolds - Head of Australian Equities - Core

Matthew Reynolds is Head of Australian Equities – Core for Colonial First State Global Asset Management (‘CFSGAM’).
In his role, Matthew is responsible for the management of Australian Equities – Core portfolios, research and analysis of Australian listed companies and input into all facets of the investment process. Matthew was promoted to Head of Australian Equities – Core in February 2011.
Prior to joining CFSGAM in March 2008, Matthew was employed at QED Capital as Portfolio Manager and Senior Analyst. In this role, he was responsible for the management of a sub-portfolio of the QED Absolute Plus Fund, with full discretion to implement and monitor long and short positions in the fund for Australian and international equities.
Before joining QED, Matthew was Executive Director at UBS Securities Australia as a Senior Research Analyst, and previously held a number of investment roles with BT Funds Management over an eight year period.
Matthew has a Bachelor of Economics from Sydney University and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia. Matthew is also a CFA charterholder.

Marcus Fanning – Head of Australian Equities, Growth

Marcus Fanning is Head of Australian Equitites – Growth for Colonial First State Global Asset Management (‘CFSGAM’).
In his role, Marcus is responsible for managing a number of portfolios and overseeing all facets of the Australian Equities – Growth investment process.
Prior to joining CFSGAM in September 2007, Marcus was most recently Managing Director, Head of Equity Capital Markets with Morgan Stanley, Sydney where he led the successful execution of a range of corporate actions, including initial Public Offerings, right issues, and the purchase and disposal of strategic holdings for a number of Australian and international companies. Marcus has over 15 years experience in the Australian equities market, including Head of Australian Equities positions at BT Australian and AMP Henderson Asset Management. He also held senior portfolio manger positions with Merrill Lynch Asset Management and Potter Partners.
Marcus holds a Bachelor of Economics (Accounting).

Fixed Interest and Credit
Tony Adams- Head of Global Fixed Interest and Credit

Tony is Head of Global Fixed Interest and Credit for Colonial First State Global Asset Management (‘CFSGAM’).
In his role, Tony is responsible for the overall management of the Fixed Interest and Credit team and process. His principal focus is the management of the credit and portfolio construction process, as it applies to all the fixed interest portfolios and mandates. He has direct charge of the credit focused portfolios, where the management of credit risk, as opposed to duration risk, is the main source of return.
Prior to joining CFSGAM in May 2000, Tony was employed in senior positions at Westpac Investment Management and NSW Treasury Corporation where he managed the long term funding of the balance sheet and the Corporations swap book.
Tony holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in Economics and Finance from the University of NSW and a Master of Business Administration from Deakin University.

Angus Tulloch - Head of Asia Pacific (ex-Japan) Equities

Angus Tulloch is Head of Asia Pacific (ex-Japan) Equities at First State Investments. Angus joined Stewart Ivory (subsequently bought by FSI) in 1988 to establish an Asia Pacific and Emerging Markets capability.
Over the last 20 years, the FSI State Asia Pacific/Global Emerging Markets equity team has earned an international reputation for investment in these areas.
Angus graduated from Cambridge University in 1970 with a BA (Honours) in Economics and History. |

Helene Williamson - Head of Emerging Markets Debt

Helene Williamson is Head of Emerging Markets Debt at First State Investments, where she is responsible for the company’s full suite of emerging markets debt portfolios.
Helene’s extensive experience includes 16 years as Head of Emerging Markets Debt with F&C Asset Management. In this position, she managed F&C’s Emerging Markets Debt SICAV, which received a 5-star rating from Morningstar.
Helene holds an MBA in Finance from the Wharton Graduate School and is fluent in French, German and Spanish. |

Habib Subjally - Head of Global Equities

Habib Subjally is Head of Global Equities at First State Investments, where he is responsible for all global equities portfolios.
Habib has 17 years’ investment experience, including senior positions with Credit Suisse, Invesco and Merrill Lynch Investment Managers. He began his career with Ernst & Young as a Chartered Accountant specialising in the insurance industry.
Habib holds a BSc (Hons) from the London School of Economics, and is an Associate of the UK Society of Investment Professionals. |

Peter Meany - Head of Global Listed Infrastructure Securities

Peter joined Colonial First State Global Asset Management in January 2007 as Head of Global Infrastructure Securities. Peter has more than 10 years’ experience in the infrastructure and utilities sectors.
Prior to joining Colonial First State Global Asset Management, Peter was a Director and Head of Infrastructure and Utilities research at Credit Suisse Equities (Australia). He received top rankings in a number of industry surveys and was involved in a number of company defining corporate transactions. As a Vice President at Credit Suisse, Peter also gained experience in the Telecoms and Energy sectors. Prior to Credit Suisse, Peter was an analyst at Macquarie Equities when the infrastructure sector was in its infancy.
Peter holds a Bachelor of Economics (Finance) from Macquarie University.

Joanne Warner - Head of Global Resources

Dr Joanne Warner joined Colonial First State Global Asset Management in August 1997 as the back-up Portfolio Manager for the flagship Wholesale Global Resources Fund. She became the prime Portfolio Manager for the internal Statutory Funds in July 2003 and then for a Global Resources mandate in January 2006. Between 2006 and mid-2010 she was the prime Portfolio Manager for all the publicly offered Global Resources long funds in Australia, UK, Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan, before becoming the Head of Global Resources in June 2010.
Joanne has more than 13 years experience as a specialist Global Resources portfolio manager and analyst. She moved into the financial sector with the London based global mining specialist broker, T Hoare & Co, where she spent two years as an analyst before moving to Equitilink as a Fund Manager in the resources sector.
Joanne holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Applied Chemistry) from the University of Technology, Sydney, where she won the University Medal. She was awarded a Commonwealth Scholarship to study at the University of Oxford where she was awarded a PhD in Solid State Chemistry. In November 2007, she won the Outstanding Achievement Award for Mining Funds Management at the annual Mines and Money Conference, sponsored by the Mining Journal in London.

Perry Clausen - Head of CFSGAM Infrastructure

Perry is Head of Infrastructure. Perry has responsibility for the global infrastructure funds and infrastructure mandates, with a primary focus on direct investment in and management of major infrastructure projects including airports, toll roads, water distribution, and pipelines. Perry was appointed in March 2007. Perry is an alternate director of Brisbane Airport.
Prior to joining the team, Perry was Director of Infrastructure Investments for a A$12 billion industry superannuation fund and has more than 20 years’ investment and financial experience. Perry’s experience includes a six-year term as a Director and Investment Committee member of the trustee of the A$2 billion National Australia Bank Group Superannuation Fund, nine years with the National Australia Bank, and audit experience with KPMG in Canada where he qualified as a chartered accountant.
In addition to his direct experience in executing transactions and overseeing the management of unlisted investments, Perry’s superannuation background and experience is being applied to deliver the client-orientated focus of our business platform.

Danny Latham - Co-Head of Infrastructure Investment, Europe

Danny Latham is the Co-Head of Infrastructure Investment, Europe for Colonial First State Global Asset Management (‘CFSGAM’).
In his role, Danny has overall responsibility for the European infrastructure investment funds and mandates, with a primary focus on direct investment in and management of major infrastructure projects.
Danny has been at the forefront of the infrastructure fund management industry for over 15 years, working on the acquisition of a number of infrastructure assets, including Melbourne Airport, United Energy and Northern Gas Networks. He was previously a director of Northern Gas Networks and has held directorships of Spark Infrastructure, Melbourne Airport and several other companies in the transport and utility sectors. He has been the fund manager for a number of infrastructure funds and client mandates over the last 10 years.
Prior to joining CFSGAM Danny was director of RREEF Infrastructure based in London, with responsibilities for portfolio management, asset acquisition and asset management and a foundation member of AMP Capital Investor’s infrastructure team.
Danny has a Masters of Applied Finance and a Bachelor of Economics from Macquarie University, Sydney.

Epco van der Lende - Head of Multi-Asset Solutions

Epco joined Colonial First State Global Asset Management in May 2011.
Epco has 18 years of investment experience in strategic investment advice, quantitative risk management, asset and liability management as well as day to day portfolio management of diversified alternatives portfolios.
Previous roles include, Founding Partner and Director of Worldview Investment Consulting, Managing Director and member of the Global Portfolio Solutions Team at Morgan Stanley Investment Management and the Head of Actuarial Research at a large Dutch pension funds management company.
Prior to his career in investments, Epco was a Professor in the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Amsterdam.
Epco holds a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Amsterdam.

Angus McNaughton- Managing Director CFSGAM Property

Angus McNaughton is the Managing Director of CFSGAM Property.
The Property division includes listed property, unlisted property and our asset management and development functions. These businesses have responsibility for approximately AUD$18 billion in funds and assets under management.
In his role, Angus oversees the performance and strategic direction for all vehicles managed by these businesses and maintains responsibility for driving the long term strategy and performance of the wholesale property business. With more than 20 years’ experience in the property (asset and development management), capital markets and funds management industries, Angus leads one of Australia’s largest fully integrated property businesses.
Angus has been working with the business for over 15 years, most recently as Head of Wholesale Property Funds, prior to which he worked in Singapore investigating opportunities for the group. Angus was also the Chief Executive of the New Zealand Stock Exchange Top 10 listed Kiwi Income Property Trust (‘KIP’). In 2007, Angus received the Property Institute of New Zealand’s Property Industry Award (sole recipient) and in 2006 he was voted one of the New Zealand Herald’s Top 10 Business Leaders of the Year.
Angus has an honours degree in Management Studies from the University of Waikato, New Zealand.

Short Term Investments
Tony Togher - Head of Short Term Investments

Tony Togher is Head of Short Term Investments for Colonial First State Global Asset Management (‘CFSGAM’).
In his role, Tony is responsible for the management, development and implementation of strategies for short term investment mandates totalling in excess of AUD $25 billion. Prior to this appointment, Tony was employed as an Investment Manager for all short term investment mandates along with an external wholesale fixed interest investment mandate.
Tony also assumed responsibility for the management of all New Zealand Cash and Fixed Interest portfolio mandates after the CBA partial acquisition of Auckland Savings Bank (‘ASB’), while retaining responsibility for all AUD short term mandates.
Prior to joining CFSGAM in April 1988, Tony was previously employed at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia and spent five years in the Treasury dealing room in various capacities.
Tony has a Graduate Diploma from the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).
