Matthew Reynolds – Head of Australian Equities-Core Matthew’s main responsibilities are the management of Australian Equities, Core portfolios, including portfolio management responsibilities across the broader Core team, research and analysis of Australian listed companies, and input into all facets of the investment decision making process. Matthew was promoted to Head of Australian Equities, Core in February 2011.
Matthew has more than 15 years of investment industry experience. Prior to joining Colonial First State in March 2008, Matthew was employed at QED Capital as Portfolio Manager and Senior Analyst. In this role, he was responsible for the management of a sub-portfolio of the QED Absolute Plus Fund, with full discretion to implement and monitor long and short positions in the fund for Australian and international equities.
Prior to this role, Matthew was Executive Director at UBS Securities Australia as a Senior Research Analyst, and previously held a number of investment roles with BT Funds Management over an eight year period. |

Chris Robertston - Senior Investment Specialist Chris’s main responsibilities are focusing on the growth of Australian Equities, Core strategies as well as providing input into the investment decision making process. Prior to joining Colonial First State Global Asset Management, Chris was a Senior Portfolio Manager at State Street with responsibility for managing a range of active Asia Pacific ex-Japan equity portfolios as well as risk analysis, research and stock coverage. Prior to joining SSgA, Chris worked at Perpetual Investments, where he was a Senior Research Analyst managing a team that produced qualitative and quantitative research across all asset classes. Chris has also worked at Schroders Australia as a Senior Quantitative Analyst, providing quantitative input into the asset management process, managed currency hedging and was a member of the asset allocation committee. Chris has over 20 years of investment management experience from roles in Australia, New Zealand and Europe.
Chris has a Masters of Management from Macquarie University and holds a Bachelor of Business Studies in Finance.
